Hello, my name is Reverend Mary Lissamer. My husband John is a wonderful support to me and a good prayer partner. I have one married daughter, Karen, and two lovely grandchildren, Hannah and Luke.
I have been in the ministry for many years. It began with starting a ladies monthly meeting in Warsash, Hampshire UK, called ‘Ladies Praise’–encouraging and praying for the emotional and physical healing of women from all backgrounds and churches.
LADIES PRAISE
- In 1991 – I asked the Lord to give me 5 women who wanted to learn and serve the Lord.
- Sep 1993, Ladies Praise was born. Over 470 women came to know the LORD Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and many miracles happened.
- Miracles including three barren British women blessed with children; many chronic medical conditions healed by God. Prayers were answered for practical, emotional or financial needs. Myself, I had a misaligned hip completely re-aligned by God!
- Ladies Praise has evolved over the years and the Lord continues to touch the lives of many women in these meetings.

- The LORD spoke to me very clearly: we must plant churches. This resulted in the birth of Son-Rise Church UK in 1997. Son-Rise Church has a permanent base in Abshot Community Centre since 6th Sep 1997.
- 1998 Son-Rise contacts International Gospel Outreach (IGO) requesting how we can help fellow members. This resulted in the first contact with Rev Osmond Osei Owusu in Ghana and the start of helping to build the Orphanage.
- 2002 Son-Rise Ministries under (IGO) begins its missionary work in Ghana giving rise to the first of five thriving Son-Rise churches around the villages of Accra. Such work included helping women, who were prostituting due to poverty, by placing them into legitimate employment. We helped to train and fund women to work in hair and salons, and provide aid to others to set up businesses such as mobile fisheries.
- 2007 Son-Rise forges links with Pastor Francis of Nigeria who works in the unstable Delta regions. Supports include reducing the spread of malaria through purchasing mosquito repellent nets and giving financial aid to help with health and social needs.
I have the privilege of being a Pastor to Son-Rise Church. I thank God for the way He is building HIS church. Come and try us…
